In ancient Greek mythology, the swan was considered to be the sacred bird of Apollo. The swan does not usually sing, but before it dies, it raises its neck and sings a long song, which is considered to be the most beautiful song in the world. The swan actually uses this song to express its joy rather than sadness as it is about to return to Apollo. The movie we watched tonight was called "Swan Song" and after watching it, we thought the name "Swan Song" was really apt. Swan Song" is set in a futuristic era where technology is becoming more and more advanced and, most surprisingly, human cloning technology is being used for medical treatment. In a minimalist way, the film looks at the meaning of life, the meaning of love, and how love can be a way to fight death from a particular perspective?
Swan Song is an emotional film that catches us off guard. Cameron is a designer with a gentle wife and a lovely son who should be living happily ever after, but then the unexpected comes suddenly and Cameron learns alone that he is seriously ill and could lose his life at any time in the future. Thinking that his wife and child may lose their lover and father, Cameron decides to contact a medical institution to clone and replicate himself to create a new "self" Jack. Although Jack's memories and appearance are identical to Cameron's, he is a new, separate individual living and emerging from the life of the original Cameron family.

The clone does not directly replace the original person， he still needs to go through a series of tests, learning, and adaptation before he is eligible to become a new, fully independent individual and begin a new life like the original. For Cameron, the process of undergoing cloning was difficult and painful. When Cameron first saw his cloned version, he was shocked and horrified. Cameron loved his family more than he loved himself, so he could endure the pain of the rest of his life in exchange for his family's peace and happiness. When we choose to bring a life into the world as an extension of ourselves, we are fully responsible for him or her.
