Today, we watched the French comedy Le Papillon with our daughter little Dawnxi. The young mother and her girl Lisa moved from the shelter into an apartment building with a manager. The girl's father disappeared when the girl's mother was pregnant. A typical single-parent family is not surprising in today's society. The mother or father alone took the responsibility of family economy and kept busy work from morning to night, which virtually required the child's independence, but created many problems at the same time. The problem of "no one wants me" breeds in the heart of these children. The school bell rang and the school gates were filled with parents waiting for their children. But no one came to pick up Lisa, who packed her own school bag, put on her hat, and walked home by herself. Everything came from habit. As her mother forgot to give the key to the house to the little girl in the morning, she had to play video games in a restaurant near her home until the restaurant closed. Julian, an elderly man downstairs from her home, had no choice but to take her back to his home temporarily.

When a person's mind is filled with stories, that person is old and the only thing he can do in his remaining days is to tell stories to his grandchildren and grandchildren. The old man's heart is like a fruit that has matured through spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The hard shell is filled with the seeds of the story. These ripe fruits hang on the branches. When the wind blows, the fruits fall to the ground and the seeds fall to the ground. When the spring flowers bloom, things float with the wind and encounter a pure and pure heart like spring, The seeds of these stories take root, germinate, blossom, and bear fruit. Since ancient times, stories have been told by grandparents to their grandchildren. Stories have been handed down by the old and children since ancient times. Adults are busy all day, full of fame and wealth, full of worries and calculations. They have no time and interest in telling and listening to stories. Only innocent children and innocent old people believe that what is told in the story is true.

We were told from a young age how we should work hard through hardships and overcome difficulties to achieve success, but we were never taught how we should live in the present moment. A truly happy life and lasting enjoyment come from the ability to live seriously. The old man in the film, a small home, decorated into a small greenhouse to cultivate butterflies, his life was obviously not rich, but he put his limited money into it and got it in order. When he went on a field trip he was fully dressed and equipped. How many of the elderly people around us with white beards have this ability to enjoy life and live it carefully? We need to adjust our mindset and understand that it is about the whole education system's care for human nature and how much ability it gives to people to achieve happiness.

When we were very young, we liked to listen to stories because of our curiosity and imagination about the secrets of life. Older people liked to tell stories, because of their fear and resistance to death, so they started telling stories, so we started listening to stories, and we all wanted to pass on stories that were longer and more interesting than our own lives. Therefore, in the folk stories of all nationalities, the protagonists have always been naive children and equally naive old people, innocent curious children, wandering children, and kind old people. The wise old man waiting at the crossroads to give the magic box or magic crutch to the child. Even the bad guys in the story are old people, as well as the dying king and evil witch. The position of adults in the story is always insignificant. Today, children are not like children, and old people are not like old people, those simple and simple stories with beginning and end can no longer be told.

Lisa was a little girl with thick red hair, a somewhat collapsed nose, thin lips, and a freckled face, with an unmistakable good smile. Her single, unwed mother often neglected her, waking up at night and enjoying playing basketball by herself, the thumping sound of which penetrated the floor and noised Julian, the resident downstairs. Julian was an old man with gray hair who liked to collect butterflies. When Lisa couldn't get into her home after school that day, Julian took her back to his home temporarily. Lisa proudly and happily told Julian that her mother would take her to the movies the next day. Julian was an old man living alone who had lost his son and his wife. In order to fulfill his promise to his son, he had been searching for the "Isabella Butterfly". That day, Julian's decision to go up the mountain the next day to look for the Isabella butterfly was made known to Lisa. The next day, Lisa was deeply disappointed because her mother was once again busy with work and did not keep her promise to take her to the movies, she secretly climbed into Julian's car and followed him up the mountain.

The grass is green, the mountains are rolling in the distance, the sika deer proudly raise their horns, the brown cows pace leisurely, and the birds fly in the sky. Nearby, the little girl stumbled over and asked when she could see the butterfly. The whole film is like a quiet pastoral poem, discussing a social topic with us in a warm way. An old man living alone, a little girl coming home from school, a single mother who was unmarried and had a child, a beautiful butterfly called Isabella... Each of US struggles in our own pride and disguise and finally is slowly eroded by the silent loneliness. The so-called love, love, and infatuation all exist because of the fear of being alone. Without the company of noisy and mischievous Lisa, the old man's journey to find butterflies would be dull and boring. People think he was taking care of the little girl, but in fact, it was just mutual companionship.

Storytelling is an art that is disappearing. One of the reasons why the art of storytelling is slowly fading is because our society is, by nature, a society dominated by the power of adults. In such a society, adults are working people, life is about work and consumption, time is money, and efficiency is life. Time, like a shot arrow, is calculated minute by minute according to the distance from the present to the target. Life is no longer reincarnation, and the future and history are worthless. Life is no longer reincarnated, the future and history have no value, life has become a straightforward process, life no longer has a down and back plot. Years lose their meaning. Adults understand and arrange all their time according to their desires. Adults' time also erodes children and the elderly. Childhood and old age are no longer indispensable plots in life stories.

The day before yesterday, a friend in Cambridge, England called to say hello. Daniel asked him how was the view of Cambridge in late autumn? Our friend replied that in front of the beauty of autumn, what was the meaning of the beauty without a childlike friend to share it with? The heart was filled with endless melancholy. Very often, our pursuits, virtues, stubbornness, and even shortcomings need to be witnessed, otherwise, everything will be like a mirage without traces, and in the end, we will doubt ourselves.
