Pixar's super warm animation short film, 《Burrow》, which was shortlisted for the 2021 Oscar for a best animated short film, was directed by Madeline sharafian and was also the patch animation of 《Soul》. In the process of building an ideal home for himself, after a series of thrilling and heartwarming events, the bunny gradually became friends with everyone.
Social anxiety disorder of childhood (SADC) is a common emotional disorder in childhood, which seriously affects the physical and mental health of children. The decline of quality of life reflects the harm of disease to people. There are very significant differences in family life, peer communication, school life, living environment, self-awareness, depression experience, and anxiety experience between children with social phobia and normal children. SADC children need more and more comprehensive care and help. We didn't understand at first, why didn't the little rabbit show his design to other small animals? Didn't he think his design was not good-looking and couldn't take it, so he wanted to build it quietly? Then a series of adventures began, constantly straying into other people's homes, constantly fleeing, and finally came to an animal gentleman's house. The gentleman was very big and lived alone. He thought the little rabbit was going to be in danger.
At the call of the big gentleman, everyone came together to help the bunny build a new home. At first, we didn't understand what the film was about. We just felt that the little rabbit was shy and timid. Children's social phobia is a typical symptom. In public places, such as kindergartens, playgrounds, parks, shopping malls, and relatives' homes, these children feel extreme panic and tension. In some multi-person situations, these children are afraid to communicate face-to-face with their peers and adults, or even if they communicate, they spend it in extreme panic. These children dare not face strangers, let alone talk to them, or feel flustered and hot at the sight of strangers. The reasons for children's social fear are complex. The main reasons are summarized as follows, which are mainly affected by the cultural environment. For example, parents may warn children to communicate less with strangers, not to visit neighbors' homes, and don't bring other children into the house. In this way, children's social ability is weakened and children's social desire is restrained.
Due to the problems caused by the only child, although a child is protected by 2 ~ 6 adults, it is difficult for adults to enter the child's heart. The child's heart is lonely. Many of his thoughts are not understood by adults, which suppresses his expression ability and skills. After the bunny took the first step to ask for help, everything went smoothly, perhaps as a comfort and encouragement to social fears. For better or for worse, only by taking the first step could the bunny know what would happen next. The bunny who wanted to live alone in his room unexpectedly met a big family of animals, after that, the rabbit knew that the happiness of being alone was far less than that of being together. In fact, everyone wants to have their own private space, quiet and seclusion. But the world will always give you some suffering and loneliness, which makes you realize that many things are not enough only for yourself, but need to be solved together with others.

Relatively speaking, the elderly and nannies pay more attention to the safety of children's clothing, food, and daily life, but do not pay enough attention to children's intellectual development. In this way, children's ability to communicate with others is not often exercised. During social interaction, a child may suffer from psychological trauma, which may be given by others, such as bullying, or by the role of parents, such as scolding, or by himself, such as getting lost, or by the environment, such as being frightened. If the child's trauma is not repaired, then his social interactions may be constrained.
Children together, to laugh, to make trouble, to run, to experience all the love and being loved. Its profound meaning is the same as the spiritual journey. It explores more meaning in life, focuses on the world outside itself, accepts others, experiences each stage of life, enriches children's self, loves others, and is loved by others. At the beginning of the film, the state of the bunny was the most real state of children suffering from social phobia, the bunny did not want to communicate with others, prefers to be alone, the bunny dug a hole to build his own home, not willing to be next to others' homes. This also reflects the fact that many children with social phobia require a world of their own, away from others. For the socially phobic bunny, socializing was a very difficult thing, and this was well reflected in the later episodes. The climax of the plot was the state of the bunny when he asked for help, but also the state of the children in social fear when they encounter troubles and have to ask others for help.

The little rabbit's heart was complex, afraid of bringing trouble to others, afraid of being rejected, etc. Finally, he blushed when he got help. This clip was the most powerful part of the short film and the place where the audience could empathize most. It contained many details and showed the psychological state of social phobia. Finally, the socially frightened little rabbit also opened his heart and made friends with everyone, which made the little rabbit feel that making friends was a very happy thing. This was also the purpose of Pixar's animation. It wanted people with social phobia to make more friends, get out of the shadow of their fear and feel the beauty brought by others. Children begin to have the desire to communicate after the age of 3, which also indicates the germination of their communication psychology. They strongly hope to communicate with their peers. Only communicating with adults, especially with their parents, can no longer meet the social needs of communication at this stage.

Meeting children's desire for communication in collective life can make children's communication ability develop well. Some children usually behave normally. As soon as they are in a social situation or collective life, they have abnormal reactions. They are afraid to see strangers, ask and avoid collective activities, dare not talk and communicate with others, are timid and withdrawn, and have indifferent expressions. There are many reasons for children's social withdrawal, some belong to temperament social disorder, shyness, timid and good to be alone, and some belong to frustration social disorder due to unpleasant experiences in a social situation. Pixar used this lovely animation style to make this short film because this lovely and warm picture could be more accepted by children suffering from social phobia and look warmer. The highlight of the whole film was to show the state of social phobia in the way of animal personality, which was full of creativity and profound meaning. Pixar wanted to tell the children that it's not difficult to socialize, but whether they had the courage to take the first step.
