Today once again we watched the science fiction film "Interstellar", directed by Christopher Nolan, led by Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, In 169 minutes of the film, we watched five, six hours because some places we have to rewind and watch again several times. In the 1930s, Einstein and Rosen hypothesized a theory when they were studying the gravitational field equations, and they thought that through a wormhole they could do instantaneous space transfer or time travel, and "Interstellar" tells the story of a group of people who travel through a "wormhole. What impresses us is that director Christopher Nolan gives us a perfect explanation of wormholes through a simple metaphor. This film is different from the previous science fiction films, the whole film is basically guided by the scientific basis.

As a Hollywood science-fiction blockbuster, the picture of "Interstellar" is really impeccable, the magnificent space, the beautiful Saturn, looking at the wormhole like a glass ball, through the wormhole after the emergence of the huge black hole looks really beautiful to the extreme and quite shocking. Unlike previous disaster films, Nolan did not deliberately portray too many disasters on Earth, a baseball game when the dust storms, in addition to corn and other crops are all extinct, plus later people's lung disease, these alone perfectly show the dilemma faced by mankind. The final part of the film after the protagonist entered the black hole in the five-dimensional space is also a unique, solid time, the protagonist can wander through different timelines at will, although it is now outside the scope of human science. At the end of the film, the scene of people's lives in the giant space station also looks quite shocking and incredible.

But unravel the "Interstellar" science fiction shell, but is a film about the theme of love, love between father and daughter, love between man and woman. The father-daughter love between the main character Cooper and his daughter Murphy is the thread that runs through the whole film, touching to the core. The work of director Nolan has a certain mathematical subtle aesthetic. And the subtle structure contains an even more wonderful phenomenon, the tension that exists in the structure itself naturally penetrates into the narrative, and the story unfolds as it should. If we look at his work from another perspective, we will find that outside of the structure, Nolan's work is actually quite "popular". Let's look at "interstellar" from this perspective, in this film, Nolan's innovation is reflected in the theme of the story. So where is the innovation of the film? We think it is the rare "hard" science fiction element.

In the film, Dr. Mann is with a passion, in order to save mankind, risking certain death, with the spirit of dedication to go alone to the reckless space. All thanks to his theoretical guidance, mankind can go so far in space. However, when he examined the local situation on the frozen planet, he helplessly found that the planet is simply not suitable for human habitation, and he, too, could only die alone in the case of resource depletion. At this time, he retreated in his heart. So he fabricated data in the signal he sent back to Earth, saying that the frozen planet was a suitable planet for human habitation, and then "hibernated" himself indefinitely, waiting for the rescue. The fact is just as he expected, the hero and heroine really followed his signal came to his rescue.
Why did Mann try to kill Cooper later? He did not just want to live, if only to live, then he could have returned to Earth with Cooper and the others. In the beginning, Professor Brand drew up two plans to save humanity: Plan A and Plan B. Plan A is to find a habitable alien planet, and then return to Earth to immigrate all humans out, while Plan B is to abandon the human race on Earth, and by astronauts with 500 fertilized eggs to outer space to find a suitable planet for human reproduction, that is, Plan B is to completely abandon the human race on Earth. Therefore, when Dr. Mann first embarked on his journey into space, he actually knew very well that he could not return to Earth, and even if he did, he would only die. All he had to do was to find a suitable planet to start the outer space colonization program.

Cooper learned that Plan A is completely hopeless, he still must return to Earth, to meet with his daughter and son. And there is only one spaceship, what to do? In front of Dr. Mann seems to be only one way, take out Cooper. And he made this decision not only because he wanted to live, but also his religious "faith" in his responsibility for the heritage of the human race. Of course, we can assume that these are Dr. Mann's excuses for his despicable actions. Dr. Mann's end is also tragic. In order to seize control of the spacecraft, he forced docking and manually opened the hatch to enter the spacecraft, resulting in the explosion of the vehicle. We are not qualified to draw conclusions about Dr. Mann,he's dead. Let's still pay tribute to him.
In the fifth dimension, it is easy to bend time back to the past. So Cooper can see the projection of Murphy at different times in the past. When seeing the scene of parting with his daughter, Cooper makes a strong effort to spell out STAY for Murphy to retain himself. After the robot TARS told Cooper's mission is not to change history, Cooper realized that "They" is "We", they sent themselves here, Murphy is the chosen object. So, Cooper sent the coordinates of NASA to his past self and transmitted Morse code data to his daughter's watch through Gravity. The daughter ended up building an anti-gravity ship that saved the humans on Earth. And saved Cooper near Saturn. The daughter put herself in hibernation for a period of time in order to wait for Cooper. Finally, Cooper met his aged daughter.

The film is ultimately a work of art, although it is based on scientific principles of "hard science fiction", but all the scientific principles and technical details must be in the work for the story, and this story, we are difficult to discuss "what if". In this film, if we want to think about another possibility for a certain point, the whole film may be lost. Traditionally, the present is determined by the past, the effect always follows the cause, and if something happens that has no connection to the past, it is called "chance," "random," or some other perceptual thing. But the film argues that our current behavior may be the result of future us communicating with present us and leaving hints. Before Cooper leaves, he tells his son, watches my land for me! It was the qualified farmer Tom who protected the family land, the house, and his sister's bookshelf under extremely demanding circumstances - the intersection of the fifth dimension and Earth.
Without his perseverance for more than twenty years, how could his sister Murphy return to the original room again, how could he receive his father's signal, can not receive the signal, people are dead, five-dimensional people can still evolve? Evolved out of the five-dimensional people, Cooper will not fall into the fifth dimension, will not be able to pass coordinates to themselves, and will not be able to set off to fly into space. Maybe the whole world is gone. So, save the world is not Murphy or Cooper, save the world is actually the one who looks the dumbest and most stupid and non-existent character Tom. Cooper before leaving, and father-in-law sitting in front of the house chatting when said: "There are explorers and guardians of mankind". If Cooper is the brave explorer, then his son is the guardian. When the explorer to set out, is the guardian gave him the strongest support, they together represent the spirit of mankind.

When the explorer to set out, is the guardian gave him the strongest support, they together represent the spirit of mankind. For a promise, Tom paid a lifetime. In fact, not only for the promise, Tom held fast to the land!
