The color of the red sun was reflected on the magnificent sea surrounded by majestic green mountains. We painted on the beach, looking at the vast sea, wide and spectacular. In the embrace of the vast sea, we were intoxicated with the charming blue sea view. After playing the music, we sat on a big rock, closed our eyes, and began to meditate. We like secret gardens very much. "Song from A Secret Garden" was the first work of the orchestra and a representative song of the Secret Garden style. Secret Garden is the pioneer of music in the new century. A lot of "new age" music these days is very lilting and has a bit of a sad feel to it." Song of the Secret Garden" is very soothing and full of memories. It shows a lot of sadness inadvertently, which makes people have to indulge in it. It can be called a classic.

Rolf Løvland was born in Kristiansand, a small town in the south of Norway. His composing talent was shown as early as when he was nine years old and formed his first band. The establishment of the Secret Garden group gave him more inspiration to explore the deep feelings of music and made his composing career gallop in a broader music field. In 1994, Rolf Løvland and Fionnuala Sherry came together because of the unimaginable same understanding of music. Because of the close relationship between music concepts and life attitudes, including philosophy concepts, their passion and pursuit for music made them hit it off and formed "Secret Garden". Rolf firmly believes that everyone has his own territory in his mind. Whenever he is in pain, disappointment, or depression, he needs to express his emotions and seek inner peace and comfort. This land hidden in everyone's heart is the "Secret Garden". In 1996, the first album "Song from A Secret Garden" was released and achieved unprecedented success.

When we first came into contact with the music of "Secret Garden", it was an autumn day with cool and thunderstorms. The dim sky outside the window was filled with continuous drizzle. "Song From A Secret Garden" floated into our ears. Facing the dark clouds and continuous rain outside the window, the graceful, soothing, and tender music made us recall and miss the past. 

That day, in the cold autumn rain, there was an indescribably active thought wandering through our minds. The method of creation varies from person to person, but what remains unchanged is that there will be a strong natural emotion. Rolf Løvland's method is to make music, and every note he writes comes from his Secret Garden. This simple melody has long been known as piano music in C minor. After the formation of the Secret Garden, Rolf Løvland thinks that this piece of music is very consistent with his point of view in essence. The melody is simple, but the emotion comes from the heart. It is expressed by Fionnuala's affectionate, soft and unadorned excellent performance. The mysterious garden has a sad and touching story: a count took his beloved wife and four children to a warm residence with a large garden. They named the garden "mysterious garden". Unfortunately, it didn't last long. Soon the countess died of a serious illness. The count was very sad and couldn't accept it. One day, the count dreamed of the countess in his dream. He suddenly realized that the mysterious garden must be deserted after so long. 

When the count walked into the garden, he saw that the garden scenery was still so beautiful, and the roses were still so bright, even brilliant. He was surprised to go to the middle of the mysterious garden. Laughter came as close as far away. When he went to catch that laughter, he found his children running happily in the garden. A paragraph of text is warm because someone knows it, a song is vivid because someone listens to it, and a person is happy because someone loves him/her.

Since ancient times, the wisdom of people has created many, many wonderful legends of mermaids. There are many, many stories about mermaids, however, the stories of mermaids that our mothers told us when we were young have stayed with us through the hazy days of infancy and childhood until today：

A long, long time ago, at the bottom of the sea, there was a magnificent castle, which lived six mermaid princesses. They were very beautiful, especially the youngest princess. She was not only beautiful, with long golden hair, but also very smart and clever. The little princess liked to listen to her sisters talking about new things at sea and on land. Therefore, the little princess often thought, if one day she could go to the sea and land, how wonderful it would be! So the little princess began to wait. On that day, we were playing the violin "Song from A Secret Garden", facing the sea on a remote and quiet beach on Peng Chau Island, Hong Kong. It was a sunny day. We were in a soothing mood. Because we were so into it, we forgot completely that it was us playing the violin, but imagined it was the little mermaid princess playing the violin while we were all on a beautiful white sailboat, enjoying her wonderful violin music.

From then on, in many of our paintings, the beautiful mermaids are playing the beautiful music "Song from A Secret Garden". We have had a great relationship with the Secret Garden, the sea, and mermaids.
