When we think of the colors of fall, we think of ripe rice fields, full pumpkins, and sweet corns, the first word that comes to mind is orange. After a year of hard work, a bountiful harvest makes people feel infinitely happier. Orange is the color of freshly baked hot pastries, so many restaurants use orange as decorative color in the hope that it will bring an appetite to customers, hence the reputation of orange as the "most nutritious" color. Orange is the color of the beautiful sunset, and the silent dusk renders a romantic atmosphere.

We may be facing a challenge, we may be worrying about our economic situation, we may be losing patience to continue pursuing our dreams, and we may be afraid to face uncertainty and be reluctant to create new products. In a sunny, sparkling stream, a sweet, happy orange koi fish, swimming toward two beautiful orange roses with an unspoken promise that encourages us to relax, to be happy, to be resolute, and helps us to move forward along our own dreams. That day, we were sketching on the beach of a small island in Hong Kong. After work, we noticed the weather was beautiful and decided to go for a hike. We thought that the mountain on the island was not too high and would not be too difficult to climb. But when we got to the bottom of the mountain, we found that the path up was very steep, so we got the idea to go back. As we were walking back, we passed a beautiful orange rose bush. Next to the rose bush, there was a creek and in the creek, a beautiful orange koi fish was swimming gracefully. It is not often that we come across a koi fish in the wild, so we took out our easels and painted this beautiful moment. At this time, we seemed to hear the orange koi fish saying to us, "You can't back down when you encounter difficulties, success is about overcoming obstacles." Our hearts were shaken. We mustered up the courage to climb to the top of the mountain. Finally, we reached the top of the mountain. What a spectacular view from the top looking down!

In the choice of colors for this painting, we realized that orange is an attractive and inspiring color that gives us a feeling of friendliness, enthusiasm, frankness, cheerfulness, and health. Orange is not only a warm color, but also a pleasant color that can well stimulate our creativity, and make us become confident. It can stimulate enthusiasm and fighting spirit in difficult situations. Therefore people who like orange are individuals full of positive energy.

Orange does not have the fire and exaggeration of red, the sparkle of yellow, the calmness of green, and the coldness of blue. Among the bright colors, orange can be considered a medium-range bright color. The combination of orange and yellow can make the yellow color more soft and beautiful. Oscillating between yellow and red, orange combines well the characteristics of both colors, open, lively, enthusiastic, and energetic. It makes the strong red become warm and the unstable yellow become comfortable. For the eyes, the most elegant and comfortable match is orange and black, not too plain and not too bright, black mixed with orange will become a steady, subtle, bright warm color, an elegant and bright, harmonious choice of shades. Adding white to orange will bring a sweet and creamy feeling. This was the final color choice and overall match we made for the painting.

After that day, many of our work projects went very well. We knew that the orange koi fish had brought us good luck.
