In a magical water area, beautiful butterflies dance among the lotus flowers and the fragrance of the lotus flows in the fresh breeze. A sweet Lotus Goddess walks towards us with a gentle smile on her face. Two koi fishes swim around her, chasing each other happily. This marvelous moment is intoxicating. Holding a symbol of yin and yang, the Lotus Goddess gently said to us: "Everything is the best arrangement, and new opportunities for happiness and prosperity are unfolding in the midst of the obstacles you have experienced." Yin and Yang is a dualistic concept in ancient philosophy. According to this concept, the universe emerged from great chaos, and everything is integrated into the cycle of yin and yang.

The white part represents the positive side and the black part represents the negative side. Yin and yang are everywhere in our daily life, such as the sun and moon, heaven and earth, day and night, and men and women. Yin and Yang are constantly changing, and everything in the universe is in constant flux. A terrible situation may bring brilliant hope, while a satisfying situation may hide some kind of danger. The light grows out of darkness, and night breeds a new day. Just as night is bound to fall when the day ends.

"There is gain and there is loss, and there is loss and there is gain" is a familiar idiom story we have heard since we were children. This story tells us that good and bad things can transform each other. When things are bad, we should take it in stride. Whenever something makes us lose, sad or upset, we think of this story and we learn to think about every problem dialectically.

An old man lived at the border, and all the passers-by called him "the old man at the border". He was open-minded and had a different way of dealing with the world. He kept many horses. Suddenly, one day, one of the horses disappeared from the herd. When the neighbors heard about this, they all came to comfort him: "You don't need to be too anxious, take care of your health is the most important thing!" Seeing that he was being consoled, the old man put a smile on his face and said, "It's just the loss of a horse， and maybe it will bring happiness." When the neighbors heard what the old man said, they felt strange in their hearts. They were all thinking, losing a horse was obviously a bad thing, but why did he think it might be a good thing? But a few days later, the lost horse not only came home by itself but also brought back a stallion. When the neighbors heard that the old man's horse came back by itself, they admired the old man's foresight and congratulated him, saying, "You are farsighted, you not only didn't lose your horse but also got a good one. You are really lucky!"

When the old man heard the congratulations from his neighbors, he was not happy at all， instead, he said anxiously: "Alas, getting a good horse for no reason is not necessarily a blessing, maybe this horse will bring us some trouble!" The neighbors thought that the old man was obviously happy in his heart but deliberately did not say so. The old man had an only son who loved riding horses very much. He found that the horse brought back by his own horse was different from the others, with long hooves, and power, it was a very good horse. So, he rode this horse every day and was very proud of himself. One day, the old man's son was a little too excited, and careless fell off the horse and broke his leg.

When the neighbors heard about it, they came to console the old man. The old man said, "It's nothing. Although my son broke his leg, he survived. Maybe it's a good thing! " The neighbors thought he was talking nonsense again, and they couldn't figure out how it could be a good thing that his son had broken his leg. Soon, a foreign army invaded and all healthy young men were drafted into the army to fight. The old man's son did not need to enlist because he had broken his leg. All the young men of the village who had enlisted in the army died in the war, but only the old man's son survived. Only then did the neighbors really realized the meaning of the words that the old man had said. This story tells us the truth: If you encounter something bad, don't be sad, maybe it can also become something good, if you encounter something good, don't be overjoyed or complacent, maybe it can also become something sad. Bad things may bring good results, and good things may also bring bad results.

A good thing can become a bad thing if you are not careful, then a bad thing may not always be a bad thing. All things are in constant flux and it is important to keep your mind calm. When something good happens, you must keep calm and never get carried away. When something fails or something bad happens, you have to control your emotions and you must also reflect seriously to find the reason for the failure. The reason why we say that the old man is wise is that the old man is sober. The reason why we admire the old man is that he can maintain a peaceful mind in any situation. This mentality gives us a lot of insight that there are gains and losses, and there are losses and gains. It encourages us not to be complacent with a little achievement, and not to give up our ideals because of some difficulties and setbacks in our work and life.

Things are constantly changing, so don't be depressed when we are in adversity, but believe that everything in this world is the best arrangement. Live in the present moment and get the joy of the moment. Yesterday Doris asked Daniel, "What is the most important thing we need to do in this life?" Daniel replied, "What we are doing right now is the most important thing we need to do in this life, whether it's organizing paintings from the past or changing our daughter's diapers." We are grateful for the life we have in the present moment. When we focus on life, enjoy every real moment, notice the many beautiful things in the ordinary, and appreciate all the gifts in this world, we will be able to perceive the joy of the present moment with unparalleled clarity and taste the beauty that is everywhere in life. Life can be as gorgeous as a summer flower, or as quietly beautiful as an autumn leaf. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is the unknown, today is a gift, and all we have lost is our ignorance.

What we are doing now is the most important thing in our lives, and the people we meet now are the ones who open up the wisdom and point the way for us, and what we are experiencing now is just the beginning of the infinite possibilities in our long lives. All the obstacles will eventually be buried by time, and everything that fate has arranged for us is the best arrangement. Most of the troubles in life come from ourselves because we can't let go of our past pains, we can't forget our past sorrows, and we always remember them. In our paintings, the Lotus Goddess brings the light of yin and yang to all of us, and the Lotus Goddess guides us in the way forward. If our lives are tough, understand that these hardships will not last forever and that they may bring new and different experiences into our lives.
